aka The Apothecarys Rose This rose known as the Apothecary's Rose is of great antiquity. A must have for any collector. Coarse dark green foliage complemented by semi-double large light crimson blooms in summer. Highly scented. Good hips in autumn. Known to Europe since the 13th Century and originates from Damascus.

An ancient Rose that has an uncertain history but could possibly be from Iran. The dark pink-purple rosette shaped blooms are borne on slender stems in summer and have a strong fragrance. Responds well to hard pruning. To quote the Rosarian Peter Beales "well worth a place in any garden"
Rose de Rescht Expected Stock Height: 20/40 cm ? We will not have this plant 2025/26. aka Gallica Gallica. AKA Gallica An ancient rose (12th -17th Century) that is the stuff of myth and legend. It is hardy with few thorns and matt green foliage. The semi-double blooms are a very striking combination of crimson, pink and are pleasantly scented. Summer flowering. This strongly scented rose has beautiful semi-double, velvety wine-red flowers with a hint of purple. It is constantly in bloom over a long period. One of the best loved Rugosas with good reason. Nice dark green foliage which colours well in the autumn. Very hardy and tolerant. 1901.

aka Scabrosa Rugosa. The name 'Scabrosa' refers to the roughness of the handsome foliage which is clear green with interesting veining. The summer blooms are bright cerise pink offset with golden stamens and are followed by big fat red hips. Nice sweet fragrance. Robust and vigorous. 1950.

This highly fragrant rose has loose, semi-double, silky pink flowers produced in repeated flushes from spring to late summer. The blooms have a cluster of golden stamens in the centre. Dense dark green foliage and thorny, upright growth habit. 1926.
Sarah van Fleet Expected Stock Height: 20/40 cm ? We will not have this plant 2025/26. Bourbon. Discovered in Ireland and named after the famous garden near Dublin where it was growing. This almost single rose has delicate pearly pink petals and a gentle sweet fragrance. Quite delightful in full flower. Repeats well and is a reliable performer. 1950.

aka Yellow Dagmar Hastrup Rugosa Hybrid. A very pretty little rose that is AKA 'Yellow Dagmar Hastrup'. The blooms are loosely cupped with curved petals in a delicate primrose yellow shade. Attractive prominent deep yellow stamens and a strong fruity fragrance. Generally robust and healthy and repeats well. 1987 PVR.

aka AKA Black Jack Gallica. A tall growing rose with branches that have a slightly lax habit. The blooms are large, very fragrant and loosely double in a deep magenta shade that fades to violet as the bloom ages. Abundant with bloom mainly in summer. From Luxembourg 1856.
